April 14, 2024 - Pales compared to the 2013, which I drank alongside. More robust gewurtztraminer spiciness remains, compared to the 2013, but the wine is overall less developed and more unidimensional for now. As I drank in over three weeks from repeated sampling with a Timeless device, the wine seemed to evolve as the bottle reached the bottom and there was a beautiful taste of pineapple that emerged. Definitely has potential to age and evolve. It's interesting that Trimbach seams to release this wine only after many years of ageing (in Canada anyway). 2015 is the current vintage here and I had first bought the 2013 2-3 years ago.

February 12, 2024 - Nose - mango, lychee, honeysuckle, slight honey
Palate - rich, long finish, sweet, with medium acidity

Almost reminded me of a dessert wine i.e. a Sauternes. Was not expecting this much sweetness but I quite liked it!

January 12, 2024 - Opened at Caprice in HK for the Jean Trimbach x Egon Muller Celebration Dinner by the winemakers themselves. Slow-oxed since 3pm and poured at around 10:20pm.

Wasn't quite sure what to make of this. I preferred the Pinot Gris served alongside it. Didn't quite hit the spot, and perhaps overshadowed in a huge lineup of epic Rieslings. Still, an interesting experience to try. Good freshness and acidity, didn't smell as sweet at least as the Pinot Gris. Good pairing for the Duck.

January 12, 2024 - Pretty much the same tasting notes as the other one here. White florals on the nose along with canned pineapple. A lot if tropical fruit notes on the tongue, honey, mushrooms and a touch of oxidation notes as well. Really interesting wine. Didn't expect it to have that much residual sugar as I just blind grabbed it out of the cellar but it was a treat! It made me think slightly of if a Sauternes had been made with Alsace fruits and obviously less sweet.

June 21, 2023 - Tasted at winery. Pale yellow. Lychee, white flowers, honey, passion fruits, mango. High than normal medium acidity.
