July 17, 2020 - I’m a big fan of this winery and the Pangea product. This 2013 is tasting young. I can tell there are unique notes of the terroir just under the surface. Right now it’s tasting more like a solid napa cab. The Syrah notes will be more prominent when the tannins slim down a bit. I have 5 more and Will cellar for another 1-2 years before opening another bottle. I think it will be a 94 pt with some age. It has life left. 2013 and no sediment in the bottle.

July 21, 2019 - Had the Pangea and a well known, high-end Napa Cab with strips steaks. This was the favorite! Earth and herbs on the nose with slight strawberry, earth, spice and razor sharp acidity on the palate. The spice and acid were perfect with the rich steak. I would drink in the next year at the latest.

October 1, 2017 - James Suckling - Great Wines of the Andes (The Presidio, SF): Malbec-like underripe plum fruit.
Sweet palate with possible RS. Strong high acid. High alcohol. Medium tannins that seem plush and Cabernet-like. Hot and a bit thin. Some French oak impression of vanilla and baking spices.
