October 6, 2023 - Great Cornas! Very concentrated, balanced power, ripe black fruit, olives, black pepper, herbs, bacon. The tannins a present but that is the style and what you expect. Can easily be stored for ten more years, but it delivers all ready. Deserves a grilled steak or roasted lamb. Nice quality for the price. Classy syrah.

    March 20, 2023 - Clear, deep ruby.

Powerful, rich, complex nose. Sweat, meat, leather, dark chocolate, coffee and crushed blackberry.

Chalky tannin. Powerful, hot and I evolved.

Young. Too young to drink. Potential is questionable.

March 1, 2023 - 91 potential with more bottle age
Black liquorice, dark bramble fruits, very backwards at the moment
    High tannins with some rusticity
    Excellent length
Just needs more time I think to reach its potential

  • Eric Guido Likes this wine:

April 1, 2022 - A dark mix of sage, black olives, smoked meats and savory spice grumbles up from the 2015 Cornas Terre Brûlée. It's surprisingly lifted and energetic for the vintage, at first finessed on the palate, yet gaining a more fleshy feel over time. Its black fruits penetrate deeply with a mineral tinge as violet-toned inner florals resonate and firm tannins slowly take hold. The 2015 finishes structured with a staining of primary concentration which bodes well for the future, even as a bump of residual acidity maintains unexpected freshness. Time will bring more body to the mix, but until then, there's plenty of character here to hold our attention firm.
