April 13, 2018 - Aged in concrete and for 8 months in French oak. 13,5% alcohol.

Translucent ruby red color with faint purple highlights, very pale rim. Sweet and aromatic crowdpleaser nose with notes of boysenberry jam, some sweet strawberries, a little bit of cherry gummi candies and a faint hint of lactic character. The wine is medium-bodied, slightly warm and very ripe on the palate with almost candied flavors of sweet and soft strawberries, some boysenberry jam, a little bit of cherry marmalade, hints of peppery spice and a touch of licorice with a faintly earthy undertone. The wine is moderately high in acidity, which is a nice surprise for a Pinot Noir this ripe and sweet. The tannins are very light and mellow. The finish is sweet and juicy with rich, almost jammy flavors of black cherries, ripe red fruits, some strawberry jam and hints of earthy spice. The alcohol lends a warming touch to the aftertaste.

A quite decent Pinot Noir from the ripe end. Even though the wine feels at times very sweet, even jammy or candied, it still retains surprisingly good freshness and focus, all thanks to its high acidity, thus not coming across as too soft and mellow. Surprisingly enjoyable effort for a Pinot Noir made in the style that normally doesn't suit my palate. Not really a wine I'd go and buy, but nevertheless a wine I could see myself enjoying again in the future. Exceeded expectations.

January 18, 2018 - Creamy, ripe, slightly confected, jammy red berry fruit on the nose. Soft, round and slightly spicy on the palate, not much tannic grip, good length. 88-90

November 15, 2017 - Light and fresh wine with the aromas of cherries and strawberries. Some bitterness on the palate.

July 17, 2017 - There is a good reserve of fruit here but it is still just around the corner. Drunk indoors it would perhaps have felt more evolved at this time
