  November 25, 2023 - Even more enjoyable than our bottle two months ago.
  Decanted for 15 minutes but the wine continued to open, while a small amount of sediment was separated. The color was a medium to dark violet with a faded rim. The palate increased to medium to plus bodied with additional air and showed hefty doses of both spice and dark fruit along with some earth. The acidity was zesty and there was just a touch of tannin on the finish. This wine should hold for at least a few years.

  September 24, 2023 - An interesting version of Grenache from Fred. If tasted blind, I might have said it was one of his Zins -- Old & Mature Vines or The Hill -- as this medium bodied wine showed a hefty dose of spice, some red fruit but mostly darker fruit (black cherry/blackberry), a bit of earth and juicy acidity. This was a PnP, but the wine was better after 15 minutes of slo-ox and decanting may be considered to separate the sediment.
