January 14, 2024 - Still very young. Decanted for 8 hours, yet not fully open.
Dark cherries, cedar, sandalwood and floral notes.
Quite tannic with an acidic backbone. Needs a few more years, one will be rewarded for their patience.

September 3, 2023 - Part of an Italian wine night with my wine group. We liked it, but I don't think we loved it. I have no idea if it will get better with age.

March 10, 2023 - The acid dominated at the start but the tartness subsided as the dark cherry fruit became more expressive with air. A little simple compared to the Piedmont wines tasted on Wednesday at 67PM so this is likely to get lost in a line-up, but on its own I do enjoy such delicate, understated wines.

June 19, 2020 - Sottimano Virtual Tasting Session (Zoom): Pale ruby, slightly tending to garnet. Aromas of raspberry, and a greyish earthiness that gives an impression of Burgundian limestone and clay. Soft tannins, bright acids, flavours of red cherry and raspberry, and violet and rose, and a good earthy, mossy sense, characters that even seem Burgundian. A fairly long finish. Great wine!

November 8, 2019 - The nose was dark and rich, showing crushed black cherry with lifting dark floral and wild herbal tones, cedar, leather, and crushed stone. On the palate, I found silky textures offset by vibrant red fruits as a mix of zesty acid, young tannin and saline-minerality settled on the senses. The finish was long and structured, but also wonderfully balanced by brisk acids, and showing great potential for a long development in bottle.
