March 8, 2024 - A delicious Pinot with cherry on the nose and a long smooth finish!

August 9, 2023 - Steiner characteristic road-tar aromas persist. Good acidity, elegant texture and medium finish. Nice domestic pinot!

April 22, 2023 - Tasted at the Presquile spring pickup party, poured from large format. This was the runaway favorite, explosive aromas, integrated whole cluster profile, sage, basil, savory. Saline and mineral inflections on the palate, fresh yet structured, medium-bodied, long finish. So good it made a Bien Nacido PN from the same vintage seem bland in comparison, reminded me of a WC-heavy Melville SV when it's 'on'.

Maybe it was opened too early in prior notes or the tasters didn't like the style (also, Steiner Creek is not in Santa Barbara, it's in SLO County near San Simeon). This is the type of wine I like to 'bask in its glow', complete arc nose to finish, from large format still has plenty of structure for development.
