April 15, 2007 - We were fortunate enough to eat at Ristorante Arnolfo in Mid March for lunch. Ourselves and our two kids and an very young italian couple made up the whole dining room that day...a three hour lunch that 1/3 of the way through surpassed Per Se and the French Laundry, easily. The best meal of our lives. Ostensibly, a 6 course contemporary tasting menu becam close to 30 items, The first amuse bouche had five different tastings....10 desserts, each listed course came with an amuse bouche of 2 additional items on theside. Absolutely incredible... the batard was a wonderful pairing for the heavy seafood menu...a pigeon course finished out the pre dessert courses.

October 27, 2005 - 65% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Blanc. Pale straw yellow colour. Pretty creamy nose, showing notes of tropical fruit and minerals. Full-bodied, lush, and creamy. Nutty, but showing passion fruit on the palate. Moderate-long finish, 35-40s, with almonds.
