May 20, 2017 - This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah is dark ruby/inky in the glass with a nose and flavors of black currant, blackberry, mocha and just a hint of licorice. Lengthy, complex finish. It's approachable now with a short decant, but has the tannic backbone to improve with a few years in the cellar. Enkidu made a very good "E" Cab in 2014, but the 2015 is even better, and at around $25 per bottle, punches way over its weight. In fact, it's better than the more expensive Mountain offering, which sadly, has vegetal (i.e., green pepper) notes.

May 1, 2017 - Had at Enkidu's tasting room in the sonoma square, it was an off menu request so it was a PnP. The juice is very youthful and will need at least another year or two to calm down & shine with balance. At $25 it is fantastic QPR.
