  April 10, 2022 - Dark cherries and Tootsie roll candy are laced with earthy notes of herbs and licorice. The full-bodied palate shows a savory, umami vibe, with black cherry intensity and chewy tannin. All the components work in nice harmony. Attractive.

  October 10, 2021 - Was craving a cab so opened this. PnP. Nose has bell peppers, green vegetables, mushroom, fresh asphalt after a rainfall, and licorice. Palate is classic Napa cab with bell peppers on the front followed by chocolate and mushrooms gushing at the backend.

  April 22, 2020 - Finding a quality Napa Valley cab for $30 is almost considered a steal these days, and this vino from Rutherford Hill did not disappoint. Purchased on close-out. PNP. Wife's initial reaction was "classic cab." Very approachable, well-balanced, fully integrated and silky smooth, with flavors of blue fruit, dark chocolate, vanilla and slightly sweet cranberry. Medium-full mouthfeel that delivered depth and supple complexity. Polished and refined, leading to a memorable, medium-long finish. Wish I had purchased many more bottles!
