October 22, 2021 - Much improved from two years ago, this has a solid N. Rhone feel to it, peppery, cool tones, blue and black fruits, a touch of minerality. Very Good+ / ~excellent. Nice to sip on its own and a really good choice for the table.

Worked well with burgers I made from Impossible "meat" and some seasonings, grilled, cheddar cheese.

July 23, 2021 - in magnum. PnP. very pleasant fresh nose, typical syrah. the palate is fresh, medium body, ok length. not an exciting wine but enjoyable.

February 25, 2020 - Clean, floral nose. Quite precise but the flaw of many screwcapped wines is for the palate to appear tart and rather mean, though this improved by the second night under vacuvin. I don't see this as especially longlasting, intense or complex, so I would say either change the winemaking/screwcap dynamics or bottle under cork (Diam if necessary).

January 18, 2020 - Well balanced Syrah, showing good varietal character with hits of blueberry, game and light tobacco, but not at all excessive. Moderate presence of oak but the overall texture is smooth and well-integrated. Finish is a bit short so I wonder if this still really needs 1-2 more years, but overall this is a nice Syrah that is a little closer to an Old World style. Trio of 90+ critic ratings including WS93.

October 31, 2019 - This is OK, pretty good. Came across simple. Fairly ripe. Juicy with smooth touches, noticeable oak treatment. I may not be seeing longer term potential here, so I'll lay down the other bottle for a few more years (screwcap) and see if it settles in. I could see it progressing nicely, I'm just not sure it has the underlying elements though. Time will tell.

Decent QPR in the mid-teens USD.

For now, this is a great BBQ or burger choice. I think this would work great with some St. Louis ribs or a juicy beef burger with fixins.
