    July 12, 2010 - Oxidised, poured out.

March 8, 2009 - Super bright nose of strawberry, roses and tar followed by a brace of citric red fruit and minerals in the mouth. Barbaresco like in weight and texture but very different flavor profile. This is Nero D'Avola and Frappato, but has the acids of a Piemontese wine. Absolutely love this stuff.

November 5, 2007 - Lovely wine. 60% Nero d'Avola and 40% Frappato. Aromatic and medium bodied. Fresh and a little grapey initially, then develops some earth and mineral tones. Mix of dark cherry and strawberry fruit, bright acidity and soft tannins. Nice match with pasta e fagioli. No overt new oak flavors. Would buy again.

March 24, 2007 - Took it to a BYOB, Luigi's, a storefront on Bloomfield Ave. in Newark. Enormous and I mean enormous portions of homestyle Italian cooking. I get a little gunshy around nero d'avola if it's too overpowering, but this wine is 60% nero and 40% frappato, so I had a suspicion it would not be a monolithic monster. Interestingly, the first wave of aromas were pure nero, deep and penetrating black fruits, but then the frappato kicked in with its distinctive strawberry overtones. It was far lighter on the palate than I thought it would be, with the lighter berry flavors predominating. It was almost, dare I say, delicate. Everyone at the table enjoyed it and it went well with everything from mussels fra diavolo to chicken murphy.

March 5, 2007 - Interesting and good wine.
Very reminiscent of grenache in my opinion.
    Aromas of sour cherry, cola.
Light to medium bodied, sometimes almost "sparkling" in the mouth. Sour cherry, cola again, strong tannins a little bit green in the finish (nothing disturbing though). Hint of blueberry.
