  September 30, 2022 - Aromas of blackberry, raspberry, cassis, graphite, anise, vanilla, baking spice, mocha.
  
  Mid weight on the palate. Fruits follow through from the nose along with some earth, herbs de Provence, mocha, cherry.
  
  Nice acid. Well integrated tannin. Looooong finish.
  
  Beautiful wine.

  September 9, 2022 - Bold aromas of violets, blackberries , blueberries, cassis and spice. Velvety tannins. On the palate, black cherries, mocha, crushed rocks and tasty minerality on the finish.

  July 4, 2022 - Served alongside a 2019 Fortuna. Paired with American Wagyu strip. No decanter so just poured into glass approx 1 hour ahead of time. Started a bit slow but broadened out it's flavor profile with a bit more air and pulled ahead of the fruit of the Fortuna. This initially comes across very savory with a bit of bitterness or earthiness. Time definitely helped as clearly got better. Certainly the more complex of the wines. Noticeably darker than the last time I had this where showed a bit on the red side. None of that this round but suprisingly restained in the fruit department. I did not notice any heat and I'm much more sensitive to that now. It's in the early part of the drinking window - just needs a bit more decant than I could give it. Overall my take on the 2015 OG is a very good wine but there was something a bit lacking to take to next level. Mouthfeel and balance wasn't quite there for me.

  May 4, 2022 - Though there is still some transition happening here, it appears to be headed in the right direction. After some swirling in the glass following the initial pull of the cork, this big boy quickly finds a cadence and shows off concentrated blackberry and spice notes that exhibit both power and some class. More time equals more depth, as bitter chocolate and cassis flavors glide to the surface of the profile. Finishes slightly acute and pointed, but not so much that it takes away from the overall delivery of solid fun fruitiness. Not as full and complete as the 2016 OG but inviting enough in its current state to provide an enjoyable swig. Ideally, hold for another few more years. 95+ points this go-around.
  
  Served side-by-side with a 2015 Judge Palmer Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon, which, I mean, kinda isn't even worth debating over. If you don't know who won that fight, you should probably stop drinking wine...

  January 27, 2022 - Oh so good. Rich and savory, almost a bit of turmeric up front, and complex interactions like a really good masala. Mocha, anise on the back end, and a great finish. Minus 2 points because it was a bit "hot".
