Needs a solid couple of hours in a decanter to reach its best, prior to which it is a bit rustic, but after that the nose shows animaly and mulberry characters is equal measure, with a herbal, eucalyptus overlay. The plate is thick and full with liquorice and dense dark fruits, bracing acidity and persistent, powdery tannins.
