April 7, 2021 - Nothing wrong with this wine, but certainly not outstanding in nose and palate. It is decent QPR at $12 though personally I think Kim Crawford and many other low priced New Zealand factory wines are just as good or better. My problem with this sort of wine is that it isn't interesting enough to enjoy sipping and it isn't flavorful enough to stand up to most food. One nice thing about it is that it won't overwhelm subtle food.

August 30, 2018 - This is everything my previous reviewer stated and more. My hat goes off to the team at Quivira. This is as balanced and delicious as any SB I have ever tasted. Amazing stuff and HUGH CHAPPELLE (wine maker) should receive a gold star.

November 12, 2017 - Mixed California Wines (My Place - Washington, DC): Light yellow color. Bursting aromatics of guava, peaches, lemon curd, lemongrass and parsley. Punchy but zesty fruit (lemon, kumquat, guava) on a medium-bodied frame with fresh acidity. Notes of sea salt, nettle, white pepper, parsley, and chalky minerals add complexity. Impressive stuff, especially for the price.
