January 7, 2024 - Youthful blend of Merlot and Cabernet. Powerful on the nose, tannins and acid support the rich fruit, should develop into a beautiful left bank. Pessac-Leognan over delivers on value.

    September 5, 2023 - Sympathique. 90+ (mais quand même pas 91)

November 5, 2022 - Decanter Fine Wine Encounter (The Landmark, London): Slightly gamey, plummy, meaty, smidge of blackcurrant, muted sweet spice. Juicy, savoury, plum, chalky tannins are a little too much for the fruit. Time?

July 2, 2022 - Dinner at Upavon. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of blackcurrant, mint, and some metal. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ to high acidity, high alcohol (14.5%), good fine rounded high tannins, proper full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of blackcurrant, plump black fruit - blackberry, black cherry, tobacco tar, fine spice, roasted coffee-bean. Long finish.
Good quality. Power and ripeness. Better in a few more years.

April 22, 2022 - Inky and dark ruby. Cassis and dried flowers on the nose. Velvety tannins, delicious sweet but savoury red fruits (pomegranates and sour cherry), freshness in spades, perfectly balanced with a rising and almost pixellated finish. Drinking very well already. Another lovely 2016. BTG from Zalto Bordeaux - which disappeared quickly!
