I think the berries were too unripe and you get these flavors. Guessing that Alsace Pinot is on the margin of where it can grow and needs to have as much ripeness as possible to be at its best.

sortiarius Does not like this wine: 69 points
August 12, 2017 - Pale ruby color, clear. Light red fruits on the nose. Light body. Acids dominating throughout the palate bringing the wine completely out of balance with the other components. No tertiary components, no finish nor complexity. Greatly disappointed in this
