May 1, 2022 - Wafts of high alcohol and stewed fruit on the nose as you open the bottle hints at 1-2 hours of breathing in the bottle before consuming.
Nice strong aromas of jammy blueberries, smoke and spices.
A beautifully smooth and mellowed Shiraz, with tannins all integrated. There is also not much acidity left given the back vintage and so in a way it becomes a bit too straight forward.
The well rounded sweetish finish makes this a beautiful company to spicier foods.
I would like to try a younger vintage to see if it would show more structure and complexity.

April 23, 2021 - Excellent McLaren Vale Shiraz.
Great dark fruit, lovely texture and long finish.

July 12, 2020 - Super McLaren Vale Shiraz.
Oodles of mulberry and blackberry with just a touch of raspberry. Tannins fully integrated with a smiggen of acidity holding it together and a hint of clove at the finish.....simply super!

August 25, 2018 - Just too much booze. At 16% why not just have Drew Noon come hit me on the head with a mallet while I sleep? Same outcome!

October 13, 2017 - Drink up now and enjoy. Much better than last bottle. Let breathe for 1 hour beforehand and be well rewarded with traditional McLaren Vale Shiraz.
