May 10, 2011 - A deep golden colour. Quite intense, mature fruit and not as sweet as expected as there is a strong streak of acidity which has kept the wine fresh. Overall, an enjoyable wine but not the richness of a really great Moselle.

May 3, 2007 - Had it with supperclub dessert, a wonderful pineapple upside-down cake. The wine complimented the cake marvelously, providing a little bit of acidity to give the pairing definition. I wish I had another bottle.

September 16, 2006 - A bit stern at first (straight of the refrigerator), but as the wine warmed and aired, it picked up body and length. Wonderful nose of pears and peaches. Wonderful slatey finsh. Superb grip. Kept getting better. Not much diesel. A youngster and a great example of a Saar wine.
