  October 28, 2022 - Odd wine, it has some obvious qualities but the style is just.. strange. Very rich nose, fruity and a bit spicy. Smooth palate, super rich but very jammy, candy-like fruit, sweetish oak, very modern. Decent acidity and some interesting spicy notes make for a fairly good wine; tannins well integrated. Interesting experience but clearly not my style!

  February 10, 2019 - Big, heavy bottle oozing prestige. Stylish label bearing the signature of Adolfo Hurtado. From the Los Almendros Estate in Limarí, 14.5% ABV. Complex and expressive Syrah on the nose (cherries, raspberries, beef stock, black olives, oak spice, violets, asphalt), rich and with a deep minerality; clearly overripe (almost sickly) fruit flavours throw the palate off-balance unfortunately, there is a certain freshness and nice tannic grip, but overall it feels disjointed; stewed fruit dominates the long finish. Excellent nose (91-92), not really pleasant palate (85), score an uneasy compromise. Not cheap, this.

  January 13, 2019 - Convincing chilean red - dark, very nice nose. Bit jammy, sweet and herbal. Very nice.
