April 28, 2023 - A wow wine for me - what a privilege to get to drink it. Everything just right with black and blue fruit, a full bodied velvety thick mouthfeel, savoury and a long finish

August 20, 2022 - Deep but vibrant purple. Incredibly powerful nose of concentrated dark fruits, but not at all over ripe. Spicy and lifted, No noticeable oak.
Palate length is incredible. Intensity of fruit is perfectly balanced by ultra fine but persistent tannins. Again, super concentrated but not overdone in any way.
For me this is as good as full bodied Shiraz gets.
    Wax covered capsule, perfect cork.

May 9, 2022 - Stunning wine, so balanced, succulent and delicious. Texturally it is beautiful, tannins a highlight for sure but the ripe core of plummy fruit is the showstopper. There is fennel, spices, black tea and a dollop of cedary oak to complement the dark fruit. Not sure Eden Valley gets a lot better, love this.

June 13, 2019 - The thing that strikes you the most about this wine is the balance; there are rich purple and black fruits, pepper and spice and a toffee and vanilla cream overlay. A spicy nose with mixed berries and plums. It is dark purple to black - and while there’s some sweetness, at its core this is a savoury wine. Chocolate and coffee beans and sage play a role too. It’s plush and polished with velvety persistent tannins and a long juicy finish. You could leave this in the cellar as long as you want, but I have no regrets about trying one now.

December 26, 2018 - As good as Hill of Grace. That's what Gary Walsh said on The Wine Front about this wine.

The darkest royal purple. Glorious colour. Intricate, intoxicating nose. Juicy fresh black cherry, blackcurrant and some blueberry from the 1858 Eden Valley vines. Sage infused, cooked sausage, violets and background notes of banoffee pie, lime and orange pith. Warm and enveloping mouthfeel. Galloping thoroughbred tannins. Muscular. Silky. Black and blue fruits soar with graphite, more premium sausage, violets, banoffee pie, cedar oak and orange pith.

    Utterly spellbinding.

A must buy at $95, cellar door, for a special occasion or that someone special. Drink 2025-2040.

    A Wozza 97/100 (4.6/5.0) from me.
