July 5, 2023 - Decanted 1.5 hours. Upon decanting pleasant cherry aroma w/rich garnet color. Beautiful pungent fresh nose of heavy cherries w/strong legs. Flavor of light tra, big plus & cherries w/terrific finish. I love this grape it never disappoints! Appetizer: Montegrappa Cheese w/Fig Entrée: Skirt Steak w/Balsamic BBQ Sause - Great match of wine & food.

February 5, 2023 - Such an outstanding value. Began as somewhat oxidized then blossomed into everything you could ask for from an Aglianico. 😇

May 15, 2021 - 100% Aglianico del Vulture. Bright, med + ruby. Clean, med + to intense aromas of overripe black cherry, red raspberry, blue plum, aromatic herbs, sweet tobacco, smoke and sweet spices. Aged for one year in multiple-use French oak barrels of various sizes. Dry, with sweet, juicy red fruit. The acidity is med to med +, the tannins are med to med (+), smooth and polished. The alcohol is med + (13.5%). Med + flavor intensity with a long, fresh, juicy finish. An incredible value in the high $10s and low $20s, this has several years of fine drinking left.

August 29, 2020 - Really drinkable and flexible wine. Went well with grilled tuna, for example. Good QPR

July 26, 2018 - Full body, lively but pleasant acidity, taninns that are present but surprisingly smoth for the age. Long finish. Black fruit, chocolate and smoked notes. Great cost to quality.
