April 19, 2024 - This also seemed youthful. I like the 15 Audoin wines much more than the 14's. They seem much better balanced than 14 with more fruit. This was nice with a mushroom strudel.

December 21, 2022 - Fresh, pure and juice style. Combined with a slightly darker note, probably due to the vintage.

December 9, 2022 - Wine Machinery Tasting at Elgin Vintners (Elgin Vintners (Pinot Noir Association): Price €50. This producer was instrumental in developing Marsannay. Hails from a single organically farmed vineyard. Style is clear fruit expression, with the Clos du Roy vineyard benefiting from deeper soils. The vineyard slopes moderately to the southeast, with a soil composition of gravel over limestone and sandy marl.
A light to medium ruby colour. Lifted notes of pressed red flowers and dried flowers, accompanied by attractive, intense morello cherry with a savoury undertone.
Ripe fruit gives some richness to this medium-bodied wine on entry. Plenty going on with flavours of strawberry flesh, ripe cooked cherries, and spices, all leading to a fleshy mid-palate, yet the wine is fairly extracted, and the acidity struggles to emphasise the fruits, resulting in a burly wine that combines a grappa element with ripe, granular tannins. Perhaps needs further development to achieve a better integration.

August 31, 2022 - Lovely civilised nose of ripe wild strawberry, maraschino cherry and a little earthy minerality. Tightly wound palate of dark cherry and violet with strong tannic structure and a long finish of tea leaves, spices and forest floor. This definitely has some life ahead of it - 91 with upside.

June 22, 2022 - Ruby red. Forest floor and red berries on the nose which in fact is really quite something and has held up 24 / 48 / 72 hours later. Still fresh as a daisy - just closed with a cork no fancy gimmicks! Silky tannins pomegranate and sour cherries on the palate and I think over the course of the last few days I can also recall quite bright red fruits. Really fresh with serious lift yet maintaining a harmonious balance. This is not a transcendental not overly complex wine by any means - yet so glad now that my buy a full case decision was a good one and now have 11 left to enjoy! From Zalto Univseral
