May 15, 2023 - Multi hour decant, which this benefited from, the tannins are very woodsy and noticeable, this needs time to open up. This is far leaning into savory, with forest floor/wood tones dominating along with very firm structure. This can age for several years still, the structure is here.

April 8, 2023 - Decanted for around 45 min before tasting. Absolutely fantastic. Verging on peak drinking. Could probably sit for another few years rolling the dice. Cherry and cranberry with some darker fruits. Stewed raspberries, plum, dates. Light leather. Fantastic with a filet.

June 26, 2021 - Popped and poured on day 1. Dark and broody immediately out of the bottle, but improved significantly within the first 30 minutes of opening. Leather, cherry and rose notes on day one when it had opened up, with the latter more prominent on day 1 and it taking on more of an aged leathery forward profile on day 2. Firm structured tannins that integrated well with the wine. Medium long finish with decent balance throughout

February 19, 2020 - Tasted blind. Bright, med ruby/garnet. Med intensity aromas of tart black cherries, red currant, dried herbs, dried orange peel, tar, earth and oak spice. It really comes alive on the palate, however, with high acidity, med (+) to high tannins and med (+) to high alcohol (14%). Really beautiful and well-balanced, with med (+) body, flavor intensity and length. I actually guessed that it was a slightly older Barolo, so it should continue to improve with further aging. Overall, remarkable QPR.

June 22, 2019 - Wunderschöne, frische Weichselnase, Veilchen. Am Gaumen auch sehr säurebetont/rotfruchtig nach Weichseln und Himbeeren, forsche Tannine. Grossartiges Potential.
