February 13, 2021 - Decanted for about 2 hours. The wine continued to open up as it was consumed over the subsequent 2 hours. Unmistakable sangiovese nose: bright cherries with an herbal undercurrent. The nose really started to show after the decant plus an additional hour. The palate was still quite tannic, borderline astringent. This wine will probably show better in 2-3 years. Ultimately a solid, but not extraordinary bottle; quite nice with steak and accompaniments, however.

May 13, 2020 - After a 3-hour decant, this drank very well. There are subtle dark fruits, and the tannins are smooth and subdued, with no rough edges.

July 29, 2019 - Pietros: Elegant and very food friendly. The aromatics are gentle not overwhelming mild cedar and spice but in the mouth it is very supple and satisfying. Sour cherry and cinnamon, good texture and acid balance. Long finish that leads to another bite and another sip.
