September 25, 2010 - The Middle Kingdom: Alsace, Austria, Germany, Hungary, etc. (Wine Exchange - Orange, CA): Ultra high toned in nature with an explosive mineral thrust of crushed stones on the nose dominating any fruit components that may be present. The palate is beautifully elegant with a supple entry leading to great acidity and fruit density. The yellow and white fruit flavors are balanced superbly by the minerality through the lingering finish. The expression of terroir in this wine is quite impressive.
