August 21, 2021 - Not a typical overblown Shiraz but rather restrained style, which was a pleasant surprise.
fairly well balanced with only a slight excess of alcohol. Fruit a little on the jammy side but not overdone.

May 4, 2020 - I used to hate most Australian wines due to their overcooked jammy crappiness... This is not that. This one spares the excessive fruit entry, has taught tannins, with good but restrained acidity. Some creaminess lingers in the finish with woody goodness. This is a crunchy big boy wine that surprise you with what it isn’t.

January 28, 2020 - Two successive bottles opened by a friend and this wine, in both instances, was almost inconsumable. The fruit was hibernating, the acidity was puckering on the palate, the alcohol was hot and the tannins were struggling to hold the elements together. This was not a bottle fault but a production misstep - probably post-fermentation. We set back some wine for the next evening and we swore we were sampling cooked Beaujolais Nouveau. I would buy three to four bottles of WW’s Church Block in any vintage over this poor showing.

December 31, 2019 - Slight sweetness. Could do with another 5-10 years

September 11, 2019 - Just be warned, not a typical Aussie fruit bomb. Elegant, restrained, balanced, wants food.
