August 6, 2022 - Tasted together with the 2004 and 2006 as part of a cellar winnowing. Slightly murky red color. Not much on the nose. Cherries and strawberries on the palate but murky and a bit hot. Fine tannins, decent acidity and balance. Finishes short and undistinguished. Drink up, past peak. Very nice in its youth.

September 3, 2009 - Red fruit, good acidity and balance. Was a great food wine with roasted chicken. I love what Augie does with his Pinots Always flat out delicious. At Houston's with Chelsea, Josh and Jill.

February 14, 2009 - The '05 is singing now! Dark fruit with a bright core, spice, smoke, earth, and berries, it is beautiful in the glass and on the palate. Tannins are well integrated with a bright acidity which makes it a perfect food wine. It can go longer. Wish I had another bottle!

November 8, 2007 - A nice deep garnet color with nice acidity and spice. Much better finish after an hour or so. Won't open another for at least a year.
