January 2, 2024 - A very interesting interpretation of Australian shiraz. Very fragrant nose of red fruits, rose and spices. Medium bodied palate with red fruited finish. Medium acidity, very low but smooth tannins. Very good and very glad to have tried this.

January 1, 2023 - Definitely an elegant style here and feel this one is more of a drink or proposition. Tannins feel very fine and quite resolved, palate only just reaching medium weight, smells of the earth, savoury and leafy, bright red berries and tea. Similar platate, quite light on its feet but with an underlying flavour density that brings length and moderate complexity. Don’t think this is the pinnacle for 4 acres but a lovely contrast to many an Oz Shiraz, this could only come from old vine Hunter.

May 21, 2022 - One of only 290 dozen made. Such a Pinot lovers Shiraz. Feminine, elegant, delicate tannins wrap around strawberry and raspberry notes. a filigreed wine. So drinkable. Very nice.

August 2, 2018 - Torn between 95 and 96, such an ethereal style of shiraz, light rose notes and subtle red berries with sublime fine tannin and delicate acidity. Unike other aussie shiraz this wont blow your socks off, but will subtly coerce you out of your trousers, and leave you wanting more when you look up and the bottle is empty

November 7, 2017 - silty and grippy tannin, lipstick and red cherry, red flowers in to forest and dark fruits, some plummy fruit in there too and awash with minerals, a drying herbal hit through the back palate. Nice tannin flow and a good wine, but young.
