December 24, 2020 - Had this with family on Christmas eve. Let sit for an hour before drinking, first notes of berry and light pepper. Got even better as it sat.

November 3, 2020 - I am just not a big fan of widow maker. This very smooth and pleaaamt. But not much interesting here. The nose is a bit more interesting and complex than the palate. Palate has some creamy cherry. A sharp bite. Maybe these need a lot more time for me. The Syrah by contrast are so complex and intriguing. And camaspelo and flying pig are also interesting. This is just meh. It is pleasant. Not bad at all. But not overly interesting.

March 24, 2019 - Lots of classic Cayuse Funk, not many Cab typicities, more of a Syrah lookalike. Delicious but I prefer Barons Syrahs

March 30, 2018 - Easy 96 under my tougher standards. Wine angels visit tonight. One of the very best bottles I’ve enjoyed in a long long time. This wine is it an absolutely perfect drinking window. Upon opening the nose was pure Walla Walla, though needs overwhelming funk, so inviting.

No tannins, perfectly integrated and oh so smooth! Long pure finish. Minerality and earthiness you would expect. Though just the right amount to go with dark fruit, licorice and plum. This is Cayuse at its best.

August 26, 2017 - Typical Cayuse funk on the nose, which mostly blew off in a couple hours. Surprising sweet notes, and although that also dissipated a bit, it never seemed to integrate. Started to fill out and gain some depth, but just not quite in balance.
