September 8, 2018 - A touch more oak than I typically like. Apples, pears and lemon try to make it in to the picture. Everything is there but I think it needs a little more time to come together. Give this another year.

September 12, 2017 - Medium gold. An old school, throwback nose, deep and ripe, but not sweet, offers baked yellow apple, pineapple, chrysanthemum, creme caramel and toast. Full bodied, this is mouthfilling and palate-drenching, round and lush but balanced by relatively bright acidity and a slight biterness perhaps from oak or oxidation. The volume is very high here, but this never feels heavy or sweet.
