February 8, 2023 - I’m at 92-93 here, but the bones here make me think this will likely improve a tad over the next few years.

Shared with my buddy Mark (who posted the note below me), my notes are similar. This comes across as very Burgundian. Very little, if any, whole cluster use (which surprised me a bit). Translucent ruby in the glass. As Mark said, brambly and slightly medicinal aromatically. Herb crusted strawberries and raspberries too. Sub 13% ABV, so this is light and refreshing, but it has more tannic bite on the finish than expected. High acidity. Definitely a food wine. Oak is untraceable. Very pure and vibrant red fruits, with black tea and plenty of red and purple floral notes. Enjoy now with a decant.

February 6, 2023 - Who knew that Hirsch made 10 Pinot Noirs in 2016? This wine poured a ruby red to the glass. Quite translucent. The nose is medicinal brably red raspberry cola. The palate is definitely a medium bodied pinot noir but, because this is definitely made in a lighter style, you can appreciate all kinds of things here versus a pinot that is made in a more overextracted style which typically trends it to more of a generic raspberry and black cherry rut. This is the Pinot to drink when you've had a nice long day and you just want to relax and enjoy a nice bottle with friends. And this exactly what this bottle was! At this point, given it's lighter style yet more in a Burgundian 'new world' style I'm really not sure what to tell you regarding how long I feel this wine will hold. But I feel like it will grow and develop at least over the next 3 to 5 years without question.

December 27, 2021 - Late to the party, drank with Thanksgiving dinner. Solid Pinot but my notes aren’t formal.

May 2, 2020 - Nose is closed down right now. Palate is fresh and there is a good finish. Maybe in an in between phase?

February 14, 2020 - Not that great upon open or through 1/2 the bottle. Not sure if it closed down or faded substantially over the past year. Just not much going on at all on the nose or palate. Very flat, blah and one dimensional. Will see if opens up on second night.
