For friends and family, opened y/day and didn't get to taste it, but some was left over so call it one day of air. Man, this is ripe, almost hot in tone with dark, jammy fruit and really nothing cab-like in flavor for a wine that is pushing 15 years old. Almost pruny in tone, with some astringence in the back end. Well, in this case, it's the memory of buying the wine that counts, as I don't care for what's in the bottle.

  January 9, 2013 - Big rich, full bodied cab. It is finally softening up and coming into its drinking window. Tannins smoothed out with some air and decanting, showing off some nice balance, fruit is still over stated with the oak and wood.
