July 22, 2019 - Intense fruit concentration and purity but fantastic brightness/acidity. Dark cherry fruit. Strong earthy component. Shows the ripeness and intensity of the vintage but everything in balance. Hard not to drink now.

March 3, 2019 - Nice Pinot. Shows the vintage with concentrated plush fruit, but has an acidic edge/energy adding freshness. Black cherry but mixed with Pinot “funk”. Lengthy finish. Enjoyable now, but has plenty of life ahead.

December 16, 2018 - Cracked this after another bottle turned out to be a disappointment. So it was decanted but didn’t really leave it for very long.

    Ruby-crimson. Bright. Concentrated. Purple rim.

What a nose! Cherries (both fresh and stewed), fresh earth, menthol, forest floor.

Wine is sound. A little oak on the palate. Will be interesting to see if that evolves. Cherries, good acidity, great structure. Medium tannins - this wine feels like it’s built to age.

I know we’re drinking this young, but it’s really nice.

November 5, 2018 - Pop and pour and follwed for about 5 hours, with food (shrimp fried rice, in case you were wondering) and then on its own.
Ruby red - crimson color. Slightly cloudy.
Nose offers forest floor, wet earth, and spice notes (cinnamon bark).
This is a bit more earthy than other 2016s I have had from PG.
Red raspberries and blackberries along with that forest note, with hints of mushrooms, soy, and brown spices (mace and cinnamon bark).
Sufficient acidity to match the fruit and earthy and spice flavors.
    Very good.
