  October 31, 2019 - Really nice California pinot. Well balanced with dark cherry fruit and oak, plenty of body, enough acid and flavor to provide a satisfying finish. Slightly more extracted than some Anderson Valley pinots, but it works here.

  November 26, 2017 - Remarkably drinkable in late '17, this is a big Pinot showing a fair bit of new oak, vanilla, and luscious fruit compared to what I think of as typical of the Anderson Valley. That said, it's well-balanced with acid (and some youthful tannin), so it works as a whole. A little more than my palate is looking for - overwhelms some of the classic Anderson Valley characteristics that the Balo estate fruit can exhibit - but worth trying if it's in your stylistic wheelhouse.
