Nose: med(+) intensity, ripe fruit character. Cooked cranberry, ripe strawberry - even toward a preserved strawberry character. Mild spicing - touch of nutmeg? - but emphasis is on deep ripe fruit.
Palate: acidity is lovely and fresh, but you can feel the alcohol at the higher end. Flavours are full of deep ripe strawberry but this is not simple - there are layers and the fruit finishes on a darker/spicier note. Maybe a bit of savoury development here - a touch of leather? The texture here is nice - medium tannins which really support the wine and make it compelling. Finish is med(+).
Nice wine. Distinctly Californian but with depth, personality and the texture making you want to drink another glass.1 person found this helpful Comment -

December 28, 2019 - Consistent with previous bottle. Ripe red berry fruits and baking spices with a silky smooth mouthfeel. Delicious pinot.
