Community Tasting Notes 3

May 17, 2010 - Beautiful purple colors, with a good decant, dark sweet macerated cherries, hints of tobacco and mocha, with a palate of dark cherry, dusty chocolate, cocoa bean and currants. Sweet and grippy tannins, good acidity and a lingering after taste make for a wine drink a point now.

March 27, 2008 - Thursday Night 5 for $5 (The Grapevine - Pocatello, ID): Deep purplish ruby color. Aromatic blackberry, pepper/spice, floral, menthol and some heat. Big dark fruit. Medium full body, lively acid and high dry tannins. Flavorful blackberry, spice and plum. Hot. Long finish. A bit tart, but big spice. Pretty yummy. Need some time to open up.

November 25, 2007 - Wow, a fruit bomb from Oz. Who woulda thunk it?
