Community Tasting Notes 5

May 18, 2008 - This bottle seems the most advanced. The fruit has faded and while the oak lends a creamy texture, the finish seems short and lacking a bit of acidity.

March 4, 2008 - Snagged this for $18. Money well spent. On the nose pineapple and honey dew. The palate reflects the nose along with firm oak, cantalope and crisp acidity. Very nice, but not if you are an oak'aphobe.

January 13, 2008 - This had more SB flavors - grapefruit, pine, lush vanilla and pineapple with a rich mouthfeel and clean finish. Really enjoyable to drink and the hint of asparagus added complexity. Probably at peak.

October 13, 2006 - Very complex with vanilla bean, tropical fruit, hint of grassiness and some lanolin.

October 12, 2006 - Tucson - Thursday Night Tasting (Raj's house): Nose of honey, a touch of nuts, some floral notes. On the palate, bananas, lively acids. Tropical fruits - mangoes, pineapples. A really nice wine with a great mouthfeel. Nice minerality as well. Just a tiny touch hot. 92+
