December 9, 2021 - Fruktig doft, doftar, ganska kraftig, så behövs den inställningen - bra

July 30, 2021 - Decanted for 15 minutes, but would recommend more like 45 - 60 minutes to fully open and integrate. A clear medium to deep ruby color. Some initial funk on the nose which blows of in time to reveal some faint dark red fruits. The palate was medium to minus bodied, and the dark red fruits were also medium to minus, along with touches of earth, minerality and tannin, and juicy acidity. This bottle was disappointing compared with the bottle of the 2016 that we enjoyed about 2 years ago. Has this bottle faded? Is it in a dumb phase? Or is the 2015 vintage just not up to the 2016?

June 25, 2021 - A delightful take on Nero D'avola, fresh, juicy, mineral, lovely flow incredibly Moorish - drank at cellar temp. and that seemed perfect.
By a long way my favourite straight N D A, I also enjoyed this much more than Arianna's Frappato. A perfect 'What-one-Wants' summer evening red (to pinch JLL's term). Not a steal @ about £30 but well worth it....

August 25, 2019 - I found this enjoyable; I have been a fan of a few other Occhipinti wines (frappato and SP68) and this did not let me down. The nose shows a bit darker fruits than the frappato with some lilac, a bit of fennel and spice. The palate is elegant and well balanced in the style of the other wines, has more richness than the frappato, but compared to other nero d'avola wines I've had this is much fresher and more vibrant. Very good with food. Should age easily for another 5 years and likely more.
