  March 31, 2021 - Wow, this was banging! I don’t have Napa Cabs a lot, but when I come upon one in my local market, it’s stellar. Deep black in the color. Huuuuge nose of blackberry, blueberry, plum and tons of oak (vanilla, butter, charred wood, coconut). Rich, dense palate packing some nicely ripe tannins and moderate acidity. Big fruit concentration and long finish. Even though 2012, this will go on for at least a decade. God damn!

  June 22, 2019 - This rich and layered reminds me of a slightly more rustic and granular version of a Bevan's Ontogeny - the fruit, structure, and acidity are there, with a forward and delicious package, but there is a touch less polish and integration. This is quite good, but it doesn't have the depth or polish of the 2010 or 2015.
  
  Dark purple in color, full n body, nose of blueberry, menthol, mulberry, and charcoal. Tastes of macerated blackberry, prune, leather, and gravel, with a grainy and sweet finish. 14.9% alcohol. Decant at least an hour, if not more. This isn't as integrated yet as many 2012s, and, if it will ever get there, it will need more bottle age to do so.
