  April 15, 2009 - South African 'Picnic' offline (DML, London): Teriyaki together with some herbacious notes combine with the fruit notes on the nose. Later, a nice sweaty leatheriness too. Another lovely soft caressing palate, but with a peculiar sort of spicy tang in the finish. Someone suggests this wine seems rather Cab Franc like and this gets murmurs of approval.

  November 28, 2008 - Slightly less good bottle than the last one. Quite a lot of complexity, but some of which is provided by green pepper and burnt rubber notes. Nose also of tobacco box & mahogany. Nice palate with fine tannins and tangy fruit.

  June 13, 2008 - Initially rather dominated by a greenness on both the palate and nose and somewhat astringent with a dominant acidity. Seemed rather like a Bordeaux cru Bourgeois from a less good year. This really came around after about 3 hours, filling out; and gaining some fruit and sweetness. Rather good at this point and much more balanced than earlier. Still held up well the following day.
