Community Tasting Notes 6

April 16, 2020 - Pale, nose has a touch of isovaleric or oxidation that surprised me given its youth. I suspect this sat on the shelf a bit too long. That said, still a classic nose with dried red fruits, flowers. Tannin is fine and elegant, balanced acidity, pleasurable but simple and maybe not in its top shape.

February 18, 2018 - Blind tasting. Brief note. Pnp. Nice perfumed red fruits and plenty of savory mineralité. Well balanced and rounded midpalate. Nice wine to be sure but nothing about it stood out necessarily.

February 17, 2018 - Transleucent ruby in the glass, Strawberry jam, fresh, balanced but also a bit flat. My notes say that this gained some body with air.

February 17, 2018 - tasted blind. Slightly cloudy ruby color. Nose candied cherry, floral, honey. Palate sweet cherry, tannic bite, fresh-tasting. Very nice, one of my favorites from the night, seems open for drinking now with perhaps a couple of years of upside, a satisfying drink if not perhaps the most profound/complex. 93 pts
