Community Tasting Notes 5

February 11, 2013 - In it's drinking prime. Drank without a decant. Dark red fruits on the nose. Substantial mouth feel. Longish finish resolves nicely. The last of my 6 bottles ........ too bad. (drinking window in CT is not accurate IMHO>

February 28, 2012 - Drinking beautifully now. Pleasant nose and a wonderful long finish. Lots of complex notes and flavors.

June 5, 2010 - the one year + since last bottle made a huge difference; slcohol hrat blown off after a long decant & once aired out the nose was delightful; round texture & velvety drinker ; nice finish

February 11, 2010 - Beautifully balanced wine. Medium bodied, with some understated ripe fruit that is more than offset by earthy cigar box and iron notes that give it a distinctly old-world taste. it never quite fully comes together, but gets slightly better with air. Still just nicely balanced, not overwhelming, and quality wine-making. Not destined for greatness though with last several more years. 90-91.

October 1, 2008 - delicious...hearty & heavy...aired for 1 hour...needed to sit for day #2, i would let this one lay down for another year or two..tannins will carry it forward quite well
