  June 29, 2020 - From a magnum
  Wow this was drinking nicely. Really smooth tannins and surprisingly youthful dark fruits, but plenty of tertiary elements and spice to make it really interesting and dangerously quaffable. A bit sweeter than I expected but overall a lovely Syrah.

  October 25, 2016 - Quite shockingly fresh. A hint of allspice, plenty of dark fruits, no fraying edges at all.

  May 14, 2016 - The 2002 La Sirena still has several good years ahead of it. In 2016, it has plenty of fruit and great savory, spicy flavors. A delicious finish. Velvety. I would say it has at least five more terrific years. I will wait at least one more before opening the next bottle.

  September 27, 2011 - Lighter strawberry spice aromatics. Great roast red pepper, smoke and light game.
  Showing a bit of a lighter styled pancake syrup texture and sweetness. Really unique, but not necessarily up my wheelhouse.
  Jill and I Preferred the '02 Betz cool climate fruit to this, but Brad enjoyed the Sirena more.

  May 30, 2011 - Awesome syrah from Heidi Barrett. Rich, extracted fruit with well-aged structure. Round tannins with long lingering finish and nice bit of pepper on the nose.
