    December 25, 2020 - What to have with Christmas turkey? Public opinion within the house was for a Beaujolais. Not so grand a choice among the possibilities.

    This 2016 Morgon though turned out to be a perfect complement to the myriad flavors and textures extending beyond the turkey itself. The role of supporting actor seamlessly bringing the show together.

    Bright, mild cherries with a thread of spice. A faint touch of sugar that will bring a smile to your face. Any wood is most noticeable on the finish. Sometimes, it's a simple pleasure that can be most rewarding.

    May 7, 2019 - Sur les fruits rouges et noirs bien frais, c'est gourmand avec une belle amplitude en milieu de bouche. Cette fraiche acidité et saine amertume apportent une grande fraicheur qui s'étire jusqu'en finale. Très bon!

    November 8, 2018 - To the eye- clear, sparkling, rose red color, pinky to the edge.

    On the nose- very fragrant, cherry, strawberry, raspberry flavours wafts intertwined with classic Gamay cranberry profile. A touch of bubble gum.

    On the palate- pure, fresh strawberry juice. Refreshing acidity. Good persistence. Delicious right now with a couple of years peak drinking window. Real good times juice!

    September 8, 2018 - Venue: Home; General Notes: Ahh, Morgon... such a very Franche appellation... Dense nose of anise, stewed black fruit, white pepper, and bramble; medium body, sticky in the mouth, ripe red berries, and just enough tannin to give it some grip. Well balanced, with a couple of sharp corners that may mellow. More Johnny Hallyday than Louis XIV. If I had to declare a house red, this would probably be it. ; Wine Notes: | Eco Style | Natural ;
