  July 21, 2023 - A very smooth concentrated Napa Cab that’s easy to drink but a bit too sweet and didn’t detect any secondary notes like cedar or cigar box. Would call this a “crowd pleaser” but at $100 a bottle will stick to cheaper bottles for our big parties!

  June 17, 2023 - Wonderful Cab. Fruit and tannins well integrated. Smooth. Went extremely well with K-bobs.

  March 19, 2022 - Second time having Altamura after drinking a bottle at ciccios in Yountville. I'm pretty sure Ciccios and Altamura are owned by the same person. Juicy, juicy cab. Decanted for 5 hours. Upon pouring into the decanter I got bright red berries and tobacco on the nose. First glass, nose is strawberry jam, and a baking spice, didnt get any tobacco I initially smelled, but had a hint of soil. Dark black/red with some clearing at the rim. Taste is big berries and grape jolly rancher. Nice hint of sour. My wife loves the big fruity cabs and this worked really well in that regard.
