August 27, 2023 - Blackberry, plum and whiff of vanilla on nose. Softer Paul Hobbs style but more muted than his first wine. Plum initially but turns to blackberry and cassis with lots of swirling in glass and mouth. Still seems closed with plenty of acid on finish but not sure this is going to improve with age.

Simply too young at this point, seems there’s enough backbone to let this sit for a few more years.
Easy enough to drink, a simple wine..just not very complex at this point.
Not the best value, as you can snag a Beringer Knights valley for 1/2 the price and very similar in profile ..IMO
Drink now with decant, thru 2026/8 -

June 19, 2023 - Vivid red purple in colour, it looks medium to full body, but drinks medium body. Very muted fruit, low to mid tannin. Raspberry koolaid notes. Lacked depth. Low QPR. Overall, thought we had realistic expectations but we’re disappointed with the experience.

February 21, 2023 - Received a partial bottle
14.5% abv
Had a sip from a partial bottle received from my Oenophile neighbor. Another great wine from a California winery I'm not familiar with (Where Does he find these?). Wine was smooth, with a nice round mouth feel. An Elegant wine. -
