April 5, 2019 - Deep purple in color with slow legs. Nose of cassis, cedar, oak and black jam. Pepper, cherry cola and sour notes on the palate. Long leathery finish.

November 23, 2018 - Cherry cola and blackberry jam aromas on the nose. On the palate, a succession of bramble fruit flavors around a juicy blackberry core with inviting hints of blueberry. while it’s entirely food friendly, this is a solitary sipping, fireplace wine with an extended off-dry finish. 94 points.

August 20, 2018 - All head-trained, dry-farmed and organic, this Petite Syrah vineyard is one of the most exceptional sites in California. The wine is powerful and inky in its youth, and becomes more feminine and refined with age. She is likely to outlive us all. Dense, graceful, and impeccably well-integrated. Dark fruit, lovely acidity, sublime texture and gravel tannins all work in tandem with one another.
