July 7, 2012 - Originally corked with plastique, recorked by me with natural cork using a Ferrari Mod. 143 floor corker upon release.

Subtle, with a bit of bottle funk. A mini Cote du Py, with a gentle meatiness, white chocolate and earth. Nice balance and a nice bottle overall.

September 12, 2009 - Drinking 2004 Domaine du Fontenay Côte Roannaise Vigne de St Sulpice - Simon Hawkins: enuf with the synthetic corks! This wine was ruined..

January 26, 2007 - Beautiful, clean, and precise Gamay, with granitic backing, and a light floral tone that made me think of Fleurie or Julianas. Also very much its own thing, particularly into the finish. Very pure. Did soften and lose some delineation with air, becoming a bit more silky in texture. Would be interesting to drink this along side of some good cru Beau. Super value.
