April 22, 2023 - Loads of blackberry, blueberry, asphalt, licorice, milk chocolate with some mixed in cherries, camphor, cedar, great silky profile and a perfect balance. This is very good now as a PnP, but got better after a couple hours of air. Wish I had more.

October 6, 2022 - Excellent follow-up to Lokoya. Pretty purple/magenta. 2.5 hr decant. This Mekerra is a blend of 53 Franc 47 Merlot. Possesses intense, focused and pure red and black fruits. There is so much going on. Expressive nose and phenomenal notes on palate of spices, mint, wild flowers, flint, licorice, leather, chocolate, minerals with silky tannins. Fresh acidity and Great long finish.

July 6, 2022 - It was quite good, just that. Didn't feel like a lot of potential for me, not a great balance of flavors or feeling. Still a good wine, especially with dinner tonight. just not great.

May 31, 2022 - Decanted for 4 hours prior to consumption and the wine changed very little thereafter. The Cab Franc zings out of the chute in this enticing, well-crafted right bank offering and takes charge throughout. Initial entry is sizeable and remains so through the finish being pushed along by developing texture. Still in formation, this bottle displayed excellent structure and pretty fruit,. As enjoyable as it was, I still wish I had waited another two years.

May 18, 2022 - I definitely got the cab franc in this blend loud and clear but it seemed to dominate the Merlot from shining. Either way, it was quite enjoyable and still fairly you with moderate chewy tannins, I’d wait a couple more years.
